The HR Assistant makes things happen! This position provides essential behind-the-scenes support, functioning as the lynchpin that allows us to meet our clients' diverse HR needs. Working closely with all members of the Engaged HR team, the HR Assistant acts as a hub, taking on an impressive range of human resources administrative tasks, and providing responsive support on various client and organizational projects.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide full-cycle recruitment supports, including posting jobs, screening resumes, setting up interviews, completing phone screens and conducting reference checks.
  • Contribute to varied client projects, including policy and handbook writing, job description development, OH&S initiatives, and HR systems development.
  • Conduct HR administrative tasks, including prepping documents, answering emails and providing information to clients.
  • Conduct research on HR topics, issues, and trends.
  • Collaborate to create templates, resources and systems.
  • Contribute to writing reports associated with client projects.
  • Contribute to developing and editing articles, resources, marketing materials, blog posts and newsletter content to share our expertise.
  • Contribute to social media engagement.

You bring the following, with passion and enthusiasm:

  • Post-secondary education, preferably from an HR or business program.
  • 1 - 3 years' experience in an office setting, ideally in an HR-related role.
  • Interested in or currently pursuing the CPHR designation.
